I am looking for inspiration for color. That said, how to do, how to achieve? I like creating small paper images and covering them with resin. I like coloring resin. On the list to try & perfect: enameling, colored pencils, setting more stones. Tomorrow I challenge myself in the ceramics studio by glazing some of my olive dishes and salt bowls. Glazing is always a tricky thing for me. I’ll also work on some metal clay. I like to patina metal. I like the color that bronze clay & copper clay can achieve. I like the surprise when opening a steel firing container filled with charcoal & digging for the treats. Side note: these shots were taken in California with a point & shoot camera. I’m amazed at the technology, or maybe it’s my amazing Mac monitor….
Have you ever “googled” yourself? I just did and found a mention and this photo on the “Metal Clay Magic” website. This pearl is featured. Funny I would not have known, I guess, had I not “googled” myself. I’ve heard that word is being added to the dictionary.
Here’s the link: http://metalclaymagic.com/
I’ll do some research, but I believe it’s an online Metal Clay e-zine. Is that spelled correctly? BTW….
It’s been such a warm fall, I’m ready to put on a jacket and feel a little chill in the air. I’ve been busy laying out the Colorado Potters Guild postcard for our fall show. I do the layout in Adobe Illustrator & edit the photos in Photoshop. I wanted a different background, and first took a bunch of photos of fall trees, plants, etc. I tried editing them in Photoshop but they all seemed too busy. One of the members suggested I use an up close photo of some glaze. So, here’s the final layout–pretty dramatic, huh? Also, some of the shots I attempted for the background.
